For Wedding and event filmmakers

Every vow and toast, found without a watch-through

Two shooters, a drone, a ceremony, five toasts and a dance floor: indexed on your Mac before you open Resolve. Ask for the line the maid of honor got a laugh on and get the clip and the seconds.

14 days free, then $59 a year or $7.99 a month. Works with your Claude or ChatGPT plan; timelines need DaVinci Resolve Studio 21.1+. Clip descriptions are optional and use your own API key, billed by Anthropic or OpenAI.

Problems

What slows Wedding and event filmmakers down

Problem[01]

Which toast had that line

The father of the bride told a story about her at six that the couple will want in the film. It is somewhere in forty minutes of toasts, on one of two cameras.

Problem[02]

A night of sorting cards

Getting ready, first look, ceremony, portraits, reception. Putting the cards from every shooter into the order of the day eats the first evening of every edit.

Problem[03]

Ten films deep by August

Peak season stacks up weddings faster than you can deliver them. Each highlight film starts with a full watch-through, and couples are counting the weeks.

What Prewatch gives you

Your footage, already watched

Prewatch indexes every clip on your Mac, so Claude or ChatGPT knows what is in your footage and can build the cut with you in DaVinci Resolve Studio.

What you getWhere it runsWhat it does for you
Vows and toasts, transcribedOn your MacWhisper on the Mac's GPU writes every word with its time, so you can search the toasts for a name, a story or a phrase.
Speakers told apartOn your MacUp to four voices within each clip, and the same voice recognized across clips. Name the officiant, the couple and the readers once, and every clip knows them.
The day in orderOn your MacClips from every camera grouped into scenes by their capture times, so getting ready, the ceremony and the reception line up across shooters.
Laughs and loud momentsOn your MacMoments that rise above the room are marked with their times: where the laugh, the cheer or the applause after the kiss is likely to be.
Dark, blown or soft clips flaggedOn your MacUnderexposed reception footage, blown-out window light and missed focus flagged per clip, plus the steadiest stretch of each shot.
Moments to cut onClaude or OpenAIEntrances, reveals and reactions with in and out points and a usability score, like the walk down the aisle. With your own Claude or OpenAI API key.
Ask it

One question instead of a day of scrubbing

You ask in Claude or ChatGPT. Prewatch answers with the clips, the seconds and the timecode, and your assistant builds the timeline in DaVinci Resolve Studio.

01
Find the part of the best man's speech where the whole room laughs.

The speech transcribed, with the moments that rise above the room marked and timed, so you play only those.

Questions

Questions from Wedding and event filmmakers

Is the couple's footage uploaded anywhere?

No. Indexing, transcripts and speakers run on your Mac, and no video or audio leaves it. Only if you turn descriptions on does Prewatch send still keyframes and transcript text to Claude or OpenAI with your own key, at a cost shown up front.

What about toasts in another language?

Whisper detects the language once per clip and transcribes in it, so a toast that switches language midway is transcribed in the one heard most. An English translation comes alongside: from the description model with your key, or a rougher one from Whisper on the Mac.

Do I need to sync my cameras first?

Prewatch doesn't sync cameras or audio. It indexes each clip on its own and puts the day in order by each file's capture time, so set every camera's clock to match before the wedding.

Does it work with the free version of DaVinci Resolve?

Building timelines by chat needs DaVinci Resolve Studio 21.1 or later, whose built-in MCP server lets your assistant work in Resolve. With the free version you can still index your footage, search it and ask Claude or ChatGPT about it, then place the clips yourself. A file handoff that the free version can import is planned.

How does the free trial work?

Prewatch is an App Store subscription with a 14-day free trial: $59 a year or $7.99 a month after it. You manage or cancel it in your Apple Account's subscription settings; cancel before the trial ends and you are not charged.
